With everything that’s going on around us, it’s important that we, the body of Christ, unite together and lift up our nation in prayer. The turmoil that surrounds us at this time isn’t a result of social or political influences. They come from the selfishness and greed of the human heart. We need to pray for renewal in our land that is a result of turning from our selfish ways and commit to total repentance to God, the only One that has the ability to change the human heart.
Would you join us in praying this Saturday, June 6, 2020 from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. as we worship our Savior and lift our prayers and petitions to him? This isn’t something that we’re gathering corporately together to do, but rather where we’re doing life at that time. Take some time to worship and sing praises to our King while you’re mowing the lawn, to ask for the hearts of men and women to be turned towards their Savior as you fold laundry. Sing and pray for our God, the God above all other gods, who will answer us mightily when we pray!
We have included some scripture and songs of worship on this page to jump-start your time of prayer and worship.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
2 CHRONICLES 7:14
Out of the depths, I cry to you, Lord;
Psalm 130
Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.
If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.
I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.
I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.
Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.
He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.”
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
1 Timothy 2:1-4
Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
Psalm 139:23-24
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
John 13:35
How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”
Psalm 133:1
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”
Romans 12:16-18
I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.”
1 Corinthians 1:10
Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.
1 Peter 3:8
