For You have magnified Your word according to all Your name.
An event is taking place in Le Mars, which will give all of us an opportunity to publicly magnify the only inspired Word of God. You are invited to join us in our Bible Reading Marathon – a continuous reading of God’s Word on July 10 and 11, 2020. Many volunteers will be needed to participate in this rewarding opportunity, each taking their turn to open their Bible and read aloud a portion of Scripture that God has exalted above all else.
Our marathon will be one of many going on throughout our state and nation. Readers are often overwhelmed with the awesome experience of proclaiming God’s Word aloud.
We anticipate an exciting time in the weeks ahead as we plan for this event. We will be hosting the event on the following dates on the lawn of the Plymouth County Courthouse in Le Mars, Iowa:
Friday, July 10 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, July 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
We invite people of all ages to join us. Adult, children, senior adults, high school and college students, are invited to join us in this event. Since we are doing it at the courthouse on the lawn, we will have plenty of room to spread out and social distance.
Our earnest desire is to expose our community to the powerful and eternity-shifting words of our Creator. Isaiah 55:11 says that as we speak God’s Word from our lips, it will not return void, but will accomplish what our Heavenly Father desires of it. Therefore, it’s essential that we open our hearts and read what He says!
Our prayer is that this time will cause people to realize how important reading all of the Bible is for them personally and for our entire country.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
